Happy Thanksgiving! May your day be filled with joy, gratitude, and a wonderful time with your loved ones. Enjoy the long weekend.

Walkathon 2026 Update:

We have surpassed out school goal of $29,000!!!  Congratulations SFA!!!  A huge thank you to all families who worked so hard to get donations!

The donation portal will remain open until Tuesday morning for top class and top families – let’s see how high we can go! 

The Grade Seven Class raised the most money this week and won the weekly class prize.

Thank you to all the parents that helped out during our Walkathon and God was shining on us with the beautiful weather.

Top Class and Top Families will be announced at the Walkathon Assembly on Friday, October 16th at 1:00 pm at the Church Hall.
 

Parent, Teacher & Student Conferences: 
The Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 22nd from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. There will be no regular classes on this day.

UPDATE: For parents that have children in Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5  it will be a Parent-Teacher conference only, no children are to be present during the conference. For parents that have children in Grades 6 and 7, students are to be present during the Conferences and dressed in their school uniform.

This year all appointments will be booked online, using the OnVolunteers Link

The portal has gone live and the deadline to sign up is October 16, 2026. Please note this is a first come first serve basis. Parents are responsible for booking their own appointments.

Kindergarten Sibling Registrations: 
We are accepting kindergarten sibling registrations for September 2027. If you have a child who will be entering Kindergarten in September 2027, please complete the attached application form and return it to the office by email or in person with the necessary documents attached by October 21, 2026. Children registering for Kindergarten must have been born in the 2022 year (January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022).

Open House: Thursday, November 19, 2026, 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Doors open at 6:15 pm and the presentation begins at 6:30 pm. Prospective Kindergarten to Grade 7 families are all welcome.

Kindergarten: Apply online from October 5 to November 26, 2026.

Grades 1 to 7 Transfers: We welcome transfer students throughout the year. Families can book a tour with our principal, Ms. Welsh or apply online, 

Halloween and Saint Dress Up Days
Your children are very lucky this year!  Students have the opportunity to dress up TWICE within a week.  This year students can come dressed in a Halloween costume on October 30, 2026.  Please note Halloween costumes must reflect the values of our Catholic school and so, no violent costumes, no weapons, no gore/blood.  Masks can be worn for picture taking only (cannot be worn during the rest of the day).  And, no revealing costumes are permitted.  Students who wear costumes that are not appropriate for an elementary school setting will be asked to change into their regular school uniform.

We are also pleased to announce that students can dress up as their favourite saint or holy hero from the Bible on Monday, November 2, 2026 (in honour of All Saints Day)

We will also have Mass on November 2, 2026, too at 9:15 am – all are welcome to join us.

Feast Day Mass:
Thank you to all the students that brought in a toonie for Miguel. We raised $75.00 for Miguel.

Friday, October 30th | doors open at 6:30pm; presentation begins at 7:00pm
 
Parents, educators, caregivers, and youth ministers of Catholic children aged 0-18 will learn practical tips for talking about human sexuality with young kids and teens through a faithfully-Catholic lens.
 
Why Attend This Workshop

  • Feel more prepared and confident discussing sensitive topics with children and teens
  • Learn practical ways to bring a faithfully Catholic perspective to conversations about sexuality

Rain and Colder Weather:
Please remember to send your child to school with a jacket everyday. If it is raining lightly students will be staying outside before the morning bell and during recess and lunch.
