Week At A Glance, February 17th to 21st

Catholic Schools’ Week:

We enjoyed a short but, eventful week!  Students learned about important saints, wrote about why they like attending a Catholic School and ended the week with a wonderful chance for Eucharistic Adoration and Praise and Worship.

Monday, February 17th, 2025:

• NO SCHOOL – FAMILY DAY

Tuesday, February 18th, 2025:

• Grade 5, 6 & 7 Girls Basketball Practice at Ray-Cam @ 7:30 am
• Grade 7 Pizza Lunch Fundraiser

Wednesday, February 19th, 2025:

• NO BASKETBALL PRACTICE TODAY
• Grade 7 Girls Basketball Tournament at Notre Dame (Parents drop students off at ND at 8:15 am, Students will be returned to school around 12:30 pm by school bus)
• Grade 7 Boys Basketball Tournament at Notre Dame (Students will be dropped off at Notre Dame around 12:00 pm by school bus, Parents Please Pick up at ND at 3:00 pm)
• Hot Lunch

Thursday, February 20th, 2025:

• Grade 5, 6 & 7 Girls Basketball Practice at Ray-Cam @ 7:30 am
• Grade 1’s Snowshoeing (Arrive at School @ 8:30 am)
• Annual General Meeting at the church hall at 6:45 pm – mandatory meeting; at least one parent attends, re-registration packages will be handed out

Friday, February 21st, 2025:

• Grade 2 Sacrament of Reconciliation 
• Rosary (Grade 3)
• Early Dismissal at 2:00 pm

Saturday, February 22nd, 2025: Work Bee 8:30 am
 

Annual General Meeting:

“Reminder” our Annual General Meeting is on February 20, 2025 at 6:45 pm at the church hall – at least one parent must attend. Re-registration packages will be handed out this evening.

Celebration of Learning:

“Celebration of Learning”, previously known as Student Led Conferences will be on March 6th from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm. There are no regular classes this day and parents will come to school with their child. Parents will sign up online with the On Volunteer site as was done for the Parent, Teacher & Student Conferences. The site will go live on February 21st at 8:00 am. More details to follow.

School Closures Due to Weather:

Please note: For any school closures, an email will be sent out to all families by 6:30 am. If the school remains open there will not be any communication sent. Please remember it is always the parents’ decision if you want to keep your child home it you feel it is unsafe to travel.

Cold Weather:

Please make sure your child has a jackets/gloves/hat with them everyday. Students will be outside in the morning and during recess time. Winter boats are recommended during the snowy weather. Please remember to send runners on your child’s gym day.

2025 – 2026 School Application:
We are still accepting applications for the 2025 – 2026 school year. Please forward the attached application package to any family and friends.

March 5th – Ash Wednesday Mass (Grade 3) @ 9:15 am, Meatless Hot Lunch

March 6th – Celebration of Learning, Previously called Student Led Conferences, (No regular classes on this day), Re-Registration packages due back to school

March 14th – Last day before Spring Break, Noon Dismissal, No ASC

March 17th to 28th – Spring Break – No School

March 31st – School Reopens at 8:40 am
