Week At A Glance, June 1st to 5th

Monday, June 1st, 2026:

• Panorama Photo at 9:00 am All Students Must Wear Their Winter Uniform, Including School Sweater, Pants or Kilt, Black Shoes and Navy Blue Socks, (No Grad Hoodies) Students in gym class Monday please bring your runners to change into. Students in track please bring your gym strip.
• Bike to School Week
• Track Practice 3:10 pm to 4:15 pm at Templeton Track. Please pick up your child from the school no later than 4:30 pm. Any students who have not been picked up by 4:30 pm will be sent to the After School Club and you will be charged for this service.

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026:

• Long Distance Practice at 7:45 am at Templeton, Student Will Be Walked Back to School
• Bike to School Week

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026:

• Bike to School Week
• CISVA Track Meet at Swangard
• Hot Lunch
• Chess Club Canceled Today

Thursday, June 4th, 2026:

• Bike to School Week
• Grade 7 Pizza Lunch Fundraiser

Friday, June 5th, 2026:

SFA Carnival
Our School Carnival is this Sunday May 31st from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Carnival tickets purchased online will be available for pick up at the gate, additional tickets will be available for purchase. A reminder that everyone over 5 will need a ticket, including volunteers.

Bike To School Week – June 1st to 5th
Get ready to ride next week!  SFA is excited to participate in Bike to School Week June 1st to 5th. Students who ride their bike to school or roll to school can lock them on the bike rack. 
We have a poster to keep track of our student participation. 
All students and families are encouraged to bike, walk and roll this year!
Prizes will be drawn on Friday for students that ride or roll to school.

Italian Day on the Drive
Join us on Sunday, June 14 as we celebrate Italian Day on the Drive! We are currently looking for volunteers to help with food service, payment taking, and barbecuing. Volunteer shifts will run between 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with two shift options available.

We are also looking for volunteers to assist with food prep on Saturday, June 13 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

2026/2027 Transfer Students
We are accepting transfer students for the 2026/2027 Grade 1, 4, 6 and 7 classes (current K, 3, 5 and 6). Interested families can book a school tour through our website or can apply directly online. 

Great Grandview Garage Sale
The Great Grandview Garage Sale is happening on Saturday, June 20 from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with setup of tables and tents, food and beverage service, and end-of-day cleanup and takedown.

Looking to clear out some items or showcase your small business? Tables are available to rent for $25 for anyone interested in selling their goods at the event.

2026 Grandview Garage Sale Volunteers

Jeans Day
Thank you to everyone that wore jeans on May 21st. We raised $411.00 for BC Children’s Hospital. The kids thank you!

Summer Camp
Mrs. Busto and Mr. D will be running a summer camp. This camp is for current SFA students and incoming SFA students. Please forward any questions directly to Mrs. Busto (c.busto@sfaschool.ca) or please speak with Mr. D.

SFA Preschool
Did you know SFA has a preschool? Located at the Church, SFA Preschool offers a caring, faith-based 4-hour morning program that gives children a wonderful foundation before kindergarten. Limited spaces are still available for 2026/2027. Email preschool@sfaschool.ca or apply online.
